Study in the UK Without IELTS

1. Based on your percentage score for English in Class XII

Many UK universities consider the marks you have scored for English at Indian senior secondary level as proof of English language proficiency. Specifically, these UK universities provide admission to Indian students without IELTS, who have secured at least 60% for English at the senior secondary level. Although, Class X English score is also considered, but Class XII English score will get preference as it is the latter of the two.

2. Based on your medium of instruction in school

If you had English as medium of instruction throughout your academic life and has secured good academic scores, the UK university may waive off IELTS requirement.

3. Based on Skype or telephonic interview

Based on your Class XII English score, some UK universities offer a conditional offer letter initially. Afterward, they will invite you for a Skype (or telephonic interview). If you can convince the university officials your English language proficiency and communication skills, you can secure your UK Student Visa without IELTS.

In addition, Birmingham City University, The University of Bristol, University of Warwick, London Southbank University, Northumbria University, Robert Gordon University, University of Portsmouth, Swansea University, University of Greenwich, University of Central Lancashire also offer IELTS waiver for Indian students based on Class XII English score.
